To use: add either 1 cup or 1/2 cup of white rice into the lower base and wash repeatedly, adding water and cleaning the edible white grain material from the rice until the water is clear. Then fill to the appropriate fill line marked on the inside of the cooking container, depending on whether you’re making 1 cup or 1/2 cup of rice. Microwave according to timing chart that matches as follows: 1 cup – 10 minutes, 1/2 serving – 7 minutes for a 500W microwave, or 1 cup – 7 minutes and 1/2 cup – 5 minutes for a 1000 watt microwave. Allow cooked rice to steam for 20 minutes before eating.
